Why Salt Lake City Men Are Turning to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Why Salt Lake City Men Are Turning to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Men in Salt Lake City are redefining their approach to long-term health and vitality and discovering that hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) supports them in this effort. HBOT, in conjunction with testosterone replacement therapy, is rapidly gaining popularity. The benefits of HBOT include, but are not limited to, optimizing overall health, energy, stamina and wellness.

How Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Works

HBOT facilitates the healing process by delivering a high concentration of oxygen to tissues. This is achieved by having a person breathe normal air (which contains about 21% oxygen) in a pressurized chamber. In a pressurized environment, the normal 21% oxygen in air becomes 100% oxygen. With 100% oxygen saturation, the blood can carry and deliver more oxygen to the tissues. With increased oxygen delivery to tissues, cellular repair and inflammation are reduced. Also, blood vessels have the potential to develop and generate new tissue.

Benefits in Conjunction with Other Treatment Protocols

There are several similarities between HBOT and HRT in the systems and pathways involved and in the positive downstream effects they have on the body. As such, many men who undergo male hormone replacement therapy in Salt Lake City utilize HBOT in conjunction with HRT to maximize the benefits and improve their overall sense of vitality. HBOT also demonstrates positive effects on the circulatory system, of which the male genitalia are a part. One study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine revealed that 80% of the study participants reported improvements in erectile function as a result of HBOT.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Men in Salt Lake City

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is getting a lot of attention for men lately for all the right reasons. When paired with male hormone replacement therapy in Salt Lake City, it increases energy levels, mental clarity, and how quickly a man is able to recover after a workout. Of course, the mechanics behind each treatment are entirely different. Hormone therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy work in different yet complementary ways.

Find The Right Provider First

Both hyperbaric oxygen therapy and male hormone replacement therapy in Salt Lake City require the oversight of a physician. Prior to starting either, it is recommended that you consult a qualified local practicing physician who specializes in men’s health. They will evaluate your hormone levels to determine whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy is right for you. Taken as prescribed, these therapies work hand in hand.
